Being a student is something I enjoy. I had two opportunities to paint the Sequoia's.  Instruction by another artist. The first one (last week) was done with the vanishing point off the top of the page.   The second is from this morning. With the vanishing point just off center. I have at least 6 opportunities to teach this Class over the next month, so I'll be posting more like this. "Sequoia's"

Sometimes life gets in the way.  In our family, 5 out of 5 got hit with the Stomach Flu, and suffice it to say... No painting or sketching... Just rest and recovery around here. I will catch up with my sketches... This being #14 of 366 And my painting for January 20th!! Daffodils and Rose A Watercolor study...

I started this little Owl last night... "Little Owl" I most likely will paint him with Watercolors... But not tonight.

Today is a Colorful Day... And my sketch/paint for the day is a Conceptual Drawing for a LOGO for our Family Pub.  I used Acrylics on paper for the color...

#30Paintingsin30days #10of366sketches Today is the GOLDEN GLOBE sketch night. I start off by sketching some of the red carpet arrivals. I take note of my personal favorite dresses. Then I reference the AP websites to find the reference photos. Here are some of the sketches.  I started with pencil on paper... Then touched with loose acrylic. #Zendaya. #JLo. #KateWinslet. #JLaw

Day 8 and 9 More accurate to say... Sketches #8 and #9 Neither one is a finished drawing, but they are sketches and works towards a new instructional lesson. So first the inspiration: And now my sketches... These Elephants will (as I play and paint) will hopefully represent the bright colors and variety of vivid pigments from India. More to come...

"Strawberry Sketch" In Watercolor. In keeping with my promise to paint and sketch everyday, I am participating in a #30Paintingsin30days Challenge... And a personal endeavor to sketch 366 days in 2016. Today is day 4. Hopefully you will join me, support me, and enjoy the journey with me!!

Day 3 of the #30daychallenge Day 3/366 sketches for 2016 Detail of the Fuchsia Detail of the Petunias "Mum's Winter Garden" Watercolor Study Staying with mum allows me to relax a bit and enjoy her garden. That also means looking out to her patio and enjoying her pots and hanging baskets.  There's much more to sketch and paint in detail....but this will do for today. I most enjoyed painting the incoming clouds and using my Shimmering Watercolors again.
