London Calling - July 24th
July 24, 2019
After Leaving the gallery, we headed toward Buckingham Palace.
We realized that the Royal Band was marching toward the palace for the Changing of the Guard.
Due to the heat, we didn't stay too long and decided to move on to find a place for lunch.
I never thought casually walking in the park, under the shade, would be so refreshing.
"London Calling"
Found this little art gallery "Mall Galleries" and found it nice and Air Conditioned. We were able to cool off, get drinks, and then head out again into London. The current exhibition featured the best of the "Aviation Artists/Painters" in England.
Due to the large crowds, we didn't attempt to go closer to the inner viewing area. We found a comfortable spot where we could hear the bands play...There must have been two different bands behind the area we could see... as a "battle of bands" ensued with them playing sets of "Bon Jovi" and "Queen" and other pop songs. It was moment of "80's and 90's" name that tune. Quite enjoyable.
I never thought casually walking in the park, under the shade, would be so refreshing.
Anna is a Brilliant Tour Guide, as she really engaged the girls in interesting facts about where they were, what they were seeing, and why it was current.
It was too hot for folks to sit in these chairs (for a fee).
Sitting on the grass, in the shade, was free!
Lunch!!!!
In Selfridges - Out of the Heat, We found a seat in the "High End Couture" dress gallery. Yes, these were dresses that ranged in price from £300 - £1699. The Victoria Beckham collection was right behind us.
